=====================================
If you think of the millions of people out there taking beta-blockers and the millions of people out there who are struggling with their sleep, this might be something you want to pay attention to.
A new study brings good news. The medication will not raise your risk of depression but is the news all that good?
Beta-blockers are used to treat conditions such as heart failure, chest pains high blood pressure and abnormal heart rhythm. It has long been suspected that these drugs may be linked to depression, anxiety, drowsiness, insomnia, hallucinations, and nightmares.
It’s always important to remember that when you take a drug there is a side effect. A lot of people think that taking the drug is just one. It’s just a net of positives, but there are always the negatives, too. But yet we have these side effects and we’re going to learn that typically these side effects sometimes are like negating the whole benefit that they have to offer.
In a new German study involved more than 50, 000 people it was found that there was no connection between beta blockers and mental illness although there was a suggestion that the meds could interfere with sleep.
Now the thing is that this is a big deal because as I mentioned so many people have poor sleep today and the other reason is it’s a huge deal is because sleep is an absolute pillar to health.
It is destructive towards your cardiovascular health, toward your brain health, towards your overhealth in general.
People who gain more weight have more likelihood of having metabolic disorders and diabetes and many other problems. So we have to make sure that if we truly care about our health we are getting good sleep.
