Top 9 Best Ways To STOP Brain Inflammation
Brain inflammation underlies chronic depression. This is something that most doctors miss. When somebody is dealing with a psychological disorder, in most cases, they are dealing with poor brain health. Most doctors aren’t addressing the root cause. Instead, they’re covering up the problem with pharmaceuticals, which can further the issue.
It’s important to understand that your brain can create a very scary reality for you. Imagine you’re somebody and you’re going to work and you have anxiety. Then you become depressed. Then you start to break good relationships. Your friendships, you no longer care about. You start to isolate yourself because you’re going to work and you’re in a bad place with a bad mood, with a bad outlook on life, you end up quitting your job.
Imagine how this can spiral out of control. You have blinders on. You think that this is reality. And really these people are mean people at work, and that’s why I’m quitting. And, these people in my life, they just want stuff from me. And these relationships don’t mean anything.
That is your reality, but the fact is your reality is skewed because your brain’s not working correctly.
And look at your brain’s reality versus somebody right next to you. It’s like, oh man, they’re happy there. Everybody loves them. They’re so positive and upbeat, right? That’s their reality because their brain is functioning well.
Imagine you walk around all day and you have brain fog, and you do a task for five, 10 minutes and your brain runs out of energy. You can’t focus anymore. That’s because your brain health isn’t good.
So let’s dive into the article because the fact is, and the reason that I bring that up right off the bat is because many people struggle with poor brain health, but they fail to realize, and many people who are undergoing psychological changes within their brain is because of these issues we’re going to talk about today.
And unfortunately, most people ignore it because they say, that’s not me. I’m not crazy. I don’t have some sort of brain problem. In reality, they have a huge brain problem.
Traditional treatments for chronic depression typically involve medication that impacts the brain’s neurotransmitters – brain chemicals, responsible for mood, motivation, behavior, and mental activity.
However, many patients with depression don’t respond to pharmaceutical treatment. In fact, they can even respond very negatively. Look at the side effects of an antidepressant – it’s suicide. How terrifying is that?
Well, the conventional medical model insists on sticking with this minimally successful approach.
New models of depression have emerged. Now, of course, we’re mentioning depression in this article. However, the reality is that. You know, we’re talking about anxiety, we’re talking about pretty much any brain problem that exists. Depression and especially chronic major depressive disorders, typically due to what’s called a cytocon model of depression or an inflammatory model of depression.
You get chronic brain inflammation and it disrupts multiple functions of the brain.
This can be bipolar disorder. This could be all kinds of different issues, such as Schizophrenia.
Let’s talk about the number one problem that happens. Brain inflammation slows down the conduction between neurons. When your brain becomes inflamed, there’s basically this fallout of all these problems that starts to happen. It slows down the conduction of nerves in the brain and the way that the neuro-transmitters are firing in the both frontal lobe and also the limbic system, which are parts of your brain.
Brain inflammation impacts the creation of key neurotransmitters.
We also know brain inflammation disrupts transport carrier proteins in particular, large neutral amino acid transporters. This protein is necessary for carrying the precursors, the building blocks for two neurotransmitters called dopamine and serotonin. Think of these as hormones in your brain.
Dopamine, the pleasure and reward neurotransmitter.
Brain inflammation disrupts dopamine, which is going to cause a whole host of problems. It causes the inability to handle stress, to self-motivate, to start and finish a task. So if you’re somebody who literally never finishes something like you start things, but never finishes, that’s actually a brain problem. It can provoke feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, leaving you short tempered over minor upsets. You might isolate yourself. And you might develop an unexplained lack of concern for family and friends.
Serotonin, the joy in well being neuro-transmitters. Now it’s important to understand that you can actually have these neuro-transmitters messed up, not just because there’s brain inflammation, but because there’s a problem in the body, like maybe a gut health issue, that’s affecting your brain health. And that causes the feeling of depression, inner rage and anger, difficulty finding joy in pleasure in your favorite activities. Depression when it’s cloudy outside, or there’s a lack of sunlight. Not enjoying friendships and relationships. Not enjoying your favorite foods. Unable to fall into a deep restful state of sleep.
When you have inflammation in the brain, basically you can have all kinds of fallout.
The article suggests that when you have inflammation in the brain, you are going to get this issue where inflammation feeds inflammation, it’s a negative feedback cycle. The more inflammation you have, the more inflammation that will become of your brain in the future. And it affects serotonin. It affects neurotransmitters. It affects the core hormone, so to speak, in your brain that changes the way that you feel and that you look at the world, and even that your body is the way that your body is functioning.
We have to make sure that we’re aware of this issue. Wake up and do a little cognitive check, like, do I have anxiety? Or, am I feeling a little depressed? Or, do I feel angry or frustrated?
Why is it that one day I can wake up and be so happy? Why is it at one point in my life? I was so happy and joyful and I loved the relationships around me. And now I’m just like, leave me alone, you know, get out of my world. I’m angry. I’m frustrated. Why is that happening? It’s all inside your brain.
So now we have to talk about what you do about it, because that’s the most important part of this whole talk.
Ingredients that you can use, herbs and the nutritional items, to solve this brain inflammation issue.
1) NAC
N-acetyl cysteine many people are familiar with, it’s a precursor to glutathione, one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body. Excellent for helping your brain health.
2) Phosphatidylserine
This is a phospholipid and it’s highly concentrated in the brain, plays a huge role in neuronal energy in both the production and the communication with the neurotransmitters as well. So we have to make sure that we’re using something like this in order to improve cognitive function and your memory, and also, really make sure that we’re supporting the brain properly.
3) Acetyl-L-Carnitine plays many roles in protecting the nervous system. It’s able to cross the blood-brain barrier and stabilize the cell membrane. It’s a powerful antioxidant and it helps protect the brain cells from toxic chemicals and stress induced damage. It helps transport a lot of waste products out of the brain, which is also very beneficial as well.
4) Alpha lipoic acid is very critical for brain detox. It’s a fat and water-soluble antioxidant and it provides both intracellular and extracellular protection against oxidative stress. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and it’s able to reach the brain, and it’s important for regenerating important antioxidants like glutathione, vitamin E, and vitamin C.
5) Coq10 helps protect the cell membranes. Um, it protects the tissues from free radical damage. It’s a very good antioxidant that should be included.
6) Broccoli seed extract is really powerful for protecting you from environmental chemicals in supporting your detox pathways in your brain.
You don’t want to do all these separately, you want to get a formula. and I’ll put some resources in the description below for this type of thing.
7) High doses of DHA.
It’s important to realize that if you’re dealing with a brain issue and you’re also dealing with a gut issue and some other problems, it’s important to make sure that you are addressing these other health issues.
Some people will look at this and just see a list of vitamins. You also have to make sure that you’re doing the obvious; fixing your diet, cutting out sugar, getting adequate sleep at night. Those are very low hanging fruits that you can change right now. But the fact is, when we deal with people clinically for these issues, we try to get to the root cause of the problem. And we use high doses of vitamins and herbs to accomplish it because we’re doing natural healing.
If you’re dealing with these issues, you can try these methods. But if it seems like it’s a little bit complex, get some help.
The other thing that is important to realize with these issues is that they become bigger over time. When you look at somebody who has Alzheimer’s or dementia, it didn’t just start when they hit 80. It’s estimated that some people start developing Alzheimer’s in their 30s. So when you start having some of these little symptoms, like, Ha, silly me, I forgot stuff. Or, I don’t even remember what I ate for breakfast. It’s not funny because this is exactly what eventually turns into a neurodegenerative disorder down the road.
What happens with chronic brain inflammation as you also become very toxic in your brain because your brain has the ability to detox, believe it or not, your brain has detox mechanisms, but when you have chronic inflammation in the brain, these detox mechanisms break, they no longer work.
Not only are you dealing with inflammation, you’re dealing with a toxicity issue in the brain. When the brain becomes toxic, it drives further inflammation causing further problems.
Many people who are suffering from psychological problems today are dealing with these issues in their brain and their doctor is not addressing it.
Take your health seriously and take your brain health seriously. And remember that when you start to deal with anxiety and depression or psychological changes in your brain, it could very well be brain inflammation, and it’s important to address it. Don’t let your brain create a very upside down reality for you that destroys your life.
